Businesses wishing to run events in the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival have two more weeks to submit their applications before the deadline on 22nd September.
The first Coventry and Warwickshire Business Festival – developed by the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub and the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), will run from 20th November to 1st December 2017. During the fortnight events are put on right across the region, run by business and for business.
It will be, by far, the largest Business Festival ever to take place in Coventry and Warwickshire. Around 75 individual seminars, lectures, workshops and conferences are expected to take place. Attendance over the two weeks is anticipated to top 7,000 people with 15 per cent of these being drawn into the area by the exciting and stimulating events on offer.
Business Festival events can take any shape from an online webinar or small workshop to a large trade show or national conference. All events should benefit local businesses, showcase what the region has to offer or be topical or of national significance. Examples could include how to source new supply chains, exporting and selling to foreign markets, or improving staff retention; through to accessing university research; maximising low carbon technologies or perhaps how recent political events might affect SMEs.
So far, 40 events have been confirmed into the programme and are available to book on to. These range from marketing, web, digital and cloud software seminars to large conferences on the Outlook of the Economy, A Woman Who; the Warwickshire Food and Drink Expo and the region’s first ever Careers Speed Networking event.
Businesses of any size can apply to run an event. Applying is a simple online process via the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival website.
Once event applications are accepted, events are posted on the Business Festival website: www.cwbusinessfestival.comfor people to book tickets. Most events are completely free to attend, but tickets do needs to be booked in advance.
